I have been doing photography since 1969, starting off in a “make shift” Black and White (Monochrome) darkroom. The film was rated at 12 ISO (ASA then called)
Via various camera clubs and being a Photographic Society of SA (PSSA) member I learned the basics first.
Then with association of various “experts” in their field of photography I expanded my knowledge, ending the film era doing both club and professional work.
Then the switch to the electronic format came, and apart from the basics, it was a major learning curve, not only with the equipment but the computer software and image correction and/or manipulation.
So as a photographer I have served my due.
I left the Pharmaceutical industry in 1989 and worked for an insurance broker, learning the “ropes.”
January 1996 was a big step as by now I had established facilities with various Insurance underwriters/companies and started Multiplan Insurance Brokers.
Early on I realized the name of the game is to specialize in niche products and market sectors. Thus eventually and after a bad experience with an insurance company and my precious camera equipment, the Photosure concept was created and established as it is now.
We have addressed various insurable short cummings for photographers, not on offer by existing insurer products for photographers.
Combined with better than average premiums, dedicated underwriting, excellent claims management and one of the biggest and financially stable insurers (Mutual Insure) as a Photographer and Insurance boker, Photosure with it’s product benefits makes sense for every business photographer to insure not only his/her equipment, but the business as a whole.
YOUR BUSINESS IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY
